Data Deletion Policy

Overview

At BillMint, we value your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you wish to delete your account or specific data associated with your account, please follow the instructions below. You can request data deletion without having to completely delete your account if desired.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your data through one of the following methods:

• In-App Deletion (Recommended): Open the BillMint app, go to your Profile / Settings, and select the Delete Profile or Delete Account option. This will immediately process your deletion request.
• Email Request: Send an email to our support team at tarunlohar@buildunic.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can verify your identity.

What Data is Deleted?

Upon a verified deletion request, the following data will be permanently deleted from our active databases:

• Your personal profile information (Name, Email, Phone Number).
• Your shop and business details.
• Customer lists and contact information you have added.
• Product catalogs, inventory logs, and expense records.

What Data is Retained?

To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, we may retain certain information for an extended period, even after a deletion request:

• Financial Records: Generated bills, invoices, and payment histories may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with accounting and tax regulations (e.g., GST requirements).
• Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated and completely anonymized usage data may be kept indefinitely to help us improve our services. This data cannot be traced back to you.

Retention Period & Processing Time

Once a data deletion request is submitted, we will process it within 14 business days. Data is securely and permanently purged from our active systems. Backups of our database may retain your data for an additional 30 days before it is completely overwritten and erased.
